Natural Rights & Individualism

Are you one of the millions of Americans that has felt abandoned by the two party system that’s been plaguing the U.S. Government? Are you one of the many disenfranchised voters who’s disappointed in our elected “leaders” in Minnesota, where they sell off your liberties for power? Have you witnessed the creeping tyranny that took hold in our world during the mass psychosis surrounding the COVID-19 insanity? The Libertarian Party of Minnesota is here to take a stand against the overarching influence of the duopoly in the lives of peaceful people in our state.

The LPMN is dedicated to the protection, expansion, and exercise of natural rights of individuals which should be held in the highest regard to the citizens of our state. In the words of author Ayn Rand, “The smallest minority on Earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities.”. A community of individuals that work together in consensual interactions without the coercive threat of force from the state is vitally important to the basis of freedom and liberty in America. We support the rights of people to govern their own lives as they see fit whether it’s in the realm of commerce, self defense, speech, privacy, education, healthcare, or any number of topics that are critical to the idea of self ownership and property rights.

For much of our nation’s history we have been ruled by so-called representatives that have largely infringed on our lives in ways which would have shocked and appalled our nation’s founding fathers. From the dwindling of our right to defend our families with the tools of our choosing, to the criminalization of what we decide to put in our own bodies, the vast majority of elected politicians have no concern for the autonomy of their constituents. The political class that has been dominated by the Democrats and Republicans has largely destroyed the faith most people had in benevolent U.S. federal or state level governments. They have decimated our currency with evermore reckless spending and printing of fiat dollars causing record inflation. They’ve sent hundreds of thousands of U.S. and MN citizens to fight in illegal interventionist wars, sacrificing tens of thousands of lives of our friends, family, and neighbors to their gods of war. While they simultaneously imperil our global and national position through corruption, they are also determined to limit our ability to live freely in our everyday lives. Using the excuse of “public safety” in reaction to a virus and the veil of “progressivism” to enforce equity has been the rationalization to shut down our businesses, halt freedom of movement, abolish the freedom to associate, and handicap our ability to be confident in our personal and financial freedom.

Our Party’s Mission

If we ever hope to live in a truly libertarian society, free from the monopoly on violence wielded by the state, we need to work together in order to educate, influence, and make actionable change in our state of Minnesota. Our goals of promoting Libertarian political candidates at the state and local level are incredibly important even though the fight for ballot access to third party candidates is an uphill battle against those that are trying to maintain their position of power. Our other priorities of pushing legislation like our Defend the Guard movement, gun rights, food freedom, drug legalization, education freedom and much more are supported by many folks in the state and we all need to work together to fight the broken system that has continued to subjugate us and strengthen the political elites of the left and right. As the party of principle we are consistently dedicated to promoting radical freedom in our part of the world through the liberation of individuals from the totalitarianism of the status quo that statism provides.

Libertarianism is clearly the most, perhaps the only truly radical movement in America. It grasps the problems of society by the roots. It is not reformist in any sense. It is revolutionary in EVERY sense.
